Reference: Ken

So I set out all determined to make a Buzzy reference sheet and the first sketch I drew was horrifying. Then I remembered that I was meaning to make Ken's next anyway, so I tried him and it was slightly less eye-burning so KEN IT IS.

Buzzy's reference sheet will come just as soon as I figure out how to draw 12-year-olds with bad posture. Which may not be anytime soon.

I don't really have any excuse for not doing Ken's reference sheet earlier seeing as his design hasn't really changed since I first drew him OVER NINE YEARS AGO apart from his hair becoming wilder, which is probably more due to my style developing than anything.

On that note, I discovered that the most disturbing part of this was not drawing him half-naked, but drawing him with his hair out. That felt seriously weird.  He never wears it out but I figured I should include it to show his "natural" look.

I added a couple of pieces of profile data here that weren't on Mel and Mable's reference sheets because they didn't really apply to them: race and nationality. If it's not clear, I use "race" as a biological term, referring to the character's genetic ancestry. There are two main human races that appear in the story: Purithyan and Argonan. The physical differences between them a pretty minor and both races have a lot of variety anyway, so it's not something that's hugely noticeable unless you know what to look for. "Nationality" on the other hand is more of a legal term and refers to which kingdom the character is a citizen of. There are three main nationalities in the story: Andersonian, Illupian and Argonan. (Yes, Argonan can be both a race and a nationality, which may sound confusing at first but it makes sense once you understand the geography and politics, which I won't bore you with right now so you'll just have to trust me.)
